No, you must first complete one degree and pay its educational credit before you can apply for another.
2. Can my interest rate vary?
It could, depending on market conditions, but our intention is to keep the rate fixed for the life of the educational credit.
3. What are the requirements to apply for an educational credit?
Be of legal age (over 18). Have income, or if not, provide a co-signer or guarantor with sufficient income. Please check the Application Requirements section.
4. What payment options are available?
Cash at Unicaribe offices, bank transfer, or electronic payment via debit or credit card.
5. What is the repayment term for my educational credit?
Depending on the degree, during the study period you would pay monthly interest, and upon graduation, you would pay the accumulated debt in fixed installments of principal and interest over a period similar to your study duration.
6. Are there deferral options in case of financial difficulties during or after the degree?
Yes, depending on your situation. The co-signer or guarantor will be consulted, and if necessary, documentation will be presented to the credit committee, which will decide which options are feasible.
7. How does this educational credit affect my credit history and ability to obtain other financing in the future?
If managed properly, it could help you qualify for future credits and loans at other institutions. If not, it could negatively affect your credit report and prevent you from obtaining other credits elsewhere.
8. What happens if I transfer to another educational institution?
You would need to pay what is owed up to the moment of withdrawal.
9. What happens if I change my degree program?
If you change degrees, you must settle the debt for your first degree. Once your account is cleared, you can apply for a new credit for the new degree, keeping in mind that the credit will vary depending on the chosen program.
10. What documents or information do I need to apply for the educational credit?
ID card, completed credit application, and payment of the evaluation fee.
11. What happens if I take a gap year or temporarily interrupt my studies?
You must continue paying interest as usual, since it is your decision to pause.
12. What if there are multiple children in a family and the parent is responsible for both credits?
If the parent has sufficient income, they can assume both educational credits separately.
13. Why pay the 1,000 pesos application fee?
To cover administrative costs for evaluating your credit and other expenses.
14. How long does it take to know if my educational credit is approved?
5 to 7 business days.
15. After how many days is a late fee charged?
After the 30-day grace period.
16. What is the late fee percentage?
2% per month after the 30-day grace period.
17. What happens with the remaining 30% not financed?
It must be covered by you at the time of enrolling in the new course.
18. Why don’t I get 100% financing?
Institution policy allows financing only 70%, so more students can access credit. This ensures a reasonable amount compared to other institutions.
19. What should I do if I want to withdraw after two months of classes?
You must pay the interest and the amount owed for the classes taken.
20. What is the interest rate for the educational credit?
It is expected to be 8% annually, but it may vary with market conditions. Our intention is to keep it at 8%.
